Dental Surgery Assistant
Bay Endodontics is a specialist dental practice in Tauranga dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. We seek a highly organised Dental Surgery Assistant to join our friendly, specialist team. Attention to detail, cleanliness, and a tidy, professional approach are must-haves for success in this role. Previous experience is welcome but not essential—we’re happy to provide training for the right person.

About the Role:
You’ll be working closely with our endodontist, providing clinical chairside support during procedures, and ensuring a smooth, safe, and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Chairside assistance during endodontic procedures
- Preparing and maintaining instruments, equipment, and surgery setup
- Maintaining cross-infection control standards
- Managing dental stock and supplies
- Supporting a calm and professional patient experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is an advantage (endodontic or surgical experience even more so), although training can be provided for the right candidate.
- NZDA Certificate in Dental Assisting or similar (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A high standard of hygiene, presentation, and a great attitude
- Current NZ driver’s licence
Details:
- Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am–5pm; Friday, 1pm–5pm
- Location: Bay Endodontics, 2 Willow Street, Tauranga.
- Start Date: Immediate
