We’re looking for a Machine Operator to join our day shift team at our Remanufacturing Plant in Kennington, just 10 minutes from Invercargill.
As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a key role in transforming dried boards into premium timber products. This hands-on position suits someone who enjoys practical work, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in being part of a team that gets the job done right.
This is a Monday–Friday, full-time dayshift role. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, employees have the opportunity to earn extra through overtime at the end of the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery to support production flow and achieve efficiency targets
- Maintain product quality through careful inspection and quality control
- Support stock organisation and contribute to improved recoveries
- Follow all health and safety procedures and keep your workspace tidy
- Work collaboratively to meet production goals through teamwork and clear communication
What You’ll Bring
- Good physical fitness and confidence with manual handling
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Sound communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Experience with technology or operating machinery
- A commitment to safety, teamwork, and doing the job well
- A proven work history with recent references
