We’re looking for a Machine Operator to join our day shift team at our Remanufacturing Plant in Kennington, just 10 minutes from Invercargill.

As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a key role in transforming dried boards into premium timber products. This hands-on position suits someone who enjoys practical work, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in being part of a team that gets the job done right.

This is a Monday–Friday, full-time dayshift role. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, employees have the opportunity to earn extra through overtime at the end of the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery to support production flow and achieve efficiency targets 
  • Maintain product quality through careful inspection and quality control
  • Support stock organisation and contribute to improved recoveries
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and keep your workspace tidy
  • Work collaboratively to meet production goals through teamwork and clear communication

  • Good physical fitness and confidence with manual handling

  • Sound communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Experience with technology or operating machinery
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and doing the job well
  • A proven work history with recent references
