We are seeking a Machine Operator to join the Niagara team.

In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in transforming New Zealand radiata pine into precision, premium timber products. This position suits someone who enjoys practical work, is well organised, can work independently, and takes pride in producing quality outcomes.

This is a Monday–Friday dayshift role, offering guaranteed hours and consistent overtime opportunities. We provide competitive pay, with overtime rates applied to all hours worked beyond 40.
Shift start time: 6:00am.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the Holtech to maintain smooth production flow through the Drymill and Dispatch departments
  • Set up and adjust machine settings as required
  • Carry out regular quality checks on timber products
  • Maintain high product standards through careful inspection and attention to detail
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
  • Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with the wider team 

What We Are Looking For

  • Self-motivation,  reliability, and the ability to work independently
  • A strong sense of responsibility and trustworthiness
  • Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
  • A solid commitment to health and safety
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Forklift experience preferred, but not essential
