Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Are you naturally curious, analytical and someone who loves getting to the bottom of how things work? As our Data and Systems Coordinator, you’ll turn data into meaningful insights that help shape smarter decisions across Active+. Working alongside the Data, Systems and Training Manager and wider Business Operations team, you’ll bring together information from systems such as Gensolve and Connect CRM, uncover trends and opportunities, and transform complex data into clear reports, dashboards and recommendations. You’ll play an important role in monitoring performance, improving data quality and helping our teams understand not just what the numbers are telling us, but why they matter and what we can do next.
This is much more than a reporting role. You’ll be a key point of contact for our business systems, helping troubleshoot issues, support users, test enhancements and explore new ways to get more from our technology. You’ll work collaboratively with teams across Active+, contribute to exciting projects and new initiatives, and use your investigative mindset to identify root causes, improve processes and find smarter ways of working. - Confident data skills, including intermediate Microsoft Excel and experience extracting, cleansing, analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
- A curious and investigative mindset – you enjoy digging into the detail, challenging assumptions and getting to the root cause of an issue.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights and practical recommendations.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a strong commitment to data accuracy, integrity and quality.
- Clear and confident communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain information to a range of audiences and provide great internal customer support.
- A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to learn new systems and technology quickly, with the confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
- A genuine continuous improvement mindset, always looking for smarter, simpler and more effective ways of working.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualisation tools would be a great advantage.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems would also be beneficial.
- Previous experience supporting business projects or improvement initiatives would be an advantage.
- Experience within the New Zealand healthcare sector would be welcomed but is not essential.
