 Do you have a passion for sharing your knowledge and experience in the field of Dairy Processing? We’re looking for someone to contribute to the delivery of the NZ Diploma in Dairy Processing (Level 6). In this role, you will be responsible for teaching theory and practical aspects of Dairy Processing modules at Wintec | Te Pūkenga, including Dairy Processing, Milk Powder Technology, Protein & Cream Technology, Dairy Engineering and Dairy Manufacturing Systems.You’ll share your professional skills and practical experience with our students. You’ll use your industry contacts to provide students with real world experience. If you’re new to tutoring, Wintec will provide you with teacher training. 

This is a fixed-term 0.6 part-time position.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An appropriate qualification at tertiary level and experience in dairy processes behind systems that produce milk powder, protein and cream, cheese, whey, and related products.
  • Practical industry experience.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding.
  • The ability to influence and build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Passionate about enabling learner success through student centered teaching and learning practices. A teaching qualification and an interest in instructional design would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Committed to creating an inclusive teaching and learning environment, incorporating te reo and tikanga
