Manawatu Toyota has a fixed term (parental leave cover), full time position in our amazing Guest Experience Team based in Palmerston North. Likely start date would be mid June for initial training, through until early February 2026.

This fixed term role would suit a motivated person who is committed to delivering exceptional service and hospitality, and who enjoys routine, process and knowing what every day will bring. Ideally, you’ll be outgoing, friendly and enjoy dealing with people, but also have a high level of maturity and integrity that ensures you fit in with our culture of excellence. Previous experience in a similar role would be great, but not required – we want someone with the ‘X’ factor who is focused on our customers' needs and also on getting the job done!                    

Objective of position:
Show your customer service skills through being a friendly, efficient and effective “first point of contact” to all customers. Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests.

The main duties for this role include:

  • Managing large amounts of inbound and outbound calls
  • Preparing and distributing WOF and service reminders to customers via their preferred contact method
  • Processing telephone and online booking requests
  • Setting up new, and managing existing, customer accounts; obtaining customer information and maintaining customer database to the highest standard
  • Following up on initial contacts and customer interactions; consistently recording all customer interactions, inquiries, comments and complaints
  • Obtaining and evaluating all relevant information to handle inquiries, bookings and complaints
  • Delivering prepared scripts to ensure new and repeat service and extra care business
  • Identifying and assessing customers’ needs and providing appropriate solutions
  • Ensuring sound knowledge of product and service requirements to respond to questions, and identify and overcome objections
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries via telephone or electronically
  • Providing accurate pricing and delivery information
  • Organising workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • Directing requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
  • Communicating and coordinating effectively with internal departments
