In this key role, you’ll be focusing on maintaining the asset quality for TSB by managing and minimising loan arrears and other forms of credit control activity. Working closely with the Credit Solutions Manager, you’ll provide customer centric ‘solutions’ that seek to identify problems and mitigate timely intervention, appropriate strategies, and effective actions. 

At TSB supporting good customer outcomes is at the heart of who we are, and the credit solutions world is no different.  Your experience and understanding of lending principles and practices will enable you to develop appropriate restructuring solutions.

Your knowledge of the practical use of 3rd party systems including Legal Charlie, ASB Card systems and relevant Collection Agency information portals, as well as legislative requirements including CCCFA, Property Law Act and the Code of Banking Practice, will ensure you stand out from the rest. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services L5 or a commitment to attain by March 2023
  • 5 years in banking or financial services with a minimum of 12 months in a lending role
  • The ability to relate to a variety of backgrounds can be calm under pressure, fair and pragmatic and can develop individual strategies to assist customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstration of high level of resilience
  • Previous experience in a Credit Control role is preferred but not required. 
  • An understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Property Law Act, Personal Property Security Act, Credit Repossessions Act, CCCFA).
