About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Centre Cook for our 150-place facility in BestStart Maunu Village. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a passion for preparing nutritious and appealing meals for our children.
This role involves planning and preparing meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times. The Centre Cook will also have the support of a domestic assistant, available for 4 hours each day, to assist with kitchen duties and maintain a clean and organised workspace.

This is a permanent part time position working 30 hours Monday-Friday, hours are fixed at 7.30am-3pm

Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
- A passion for cooking and baking
- An understanding of allergies and dietary requirements
- Be computer literate in order to design menus and place orders each week
- The ability to remain within the budgets of ordering food
- A passion for promoting healthy eating for young children
