As a Community Support Worker working for MASH Trust you will be joining a highly skilled and dedicated team supporting clients to maintain a high quality of life, within a quality home environment, and encouraging full participation in all aspects of community daily life to maximise independence.

About the Role:

We have a full time position available in Levin for 80 hours per fortnight. You will be working from 2.30pm until 11.00pm each day.

Ideally you will have experience and training in managing challenging behaviours. Your can do attitude and ability to adapt to challenging situations will make you a suitable candidate. 

We are looking for candidates with a desire to learn and grow within their role and wanting flexibility with hours of work, not just a standard nine-to-five. Shifts will include weekend work.

You will be required to assist with personal cares such as – showering, dressing, grooming and toileting as well as assisting with meals, and getting our clients in and out of bed and to appointments.

The hours:

Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 2.30pm through to 11.00pm

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A current New Zealand full drivers licence and have reliable transport
  • Honesty and Integrity and be able to pass Police Vetting
  • Pride in a healthy home environment – including cleaning, meal preparation and shopping.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand with a minimum of six months on Visa.
  • A caring and compassionate and empathetic nature providing support to those from all walks of life.
