At Catalyst Cloud we're here to grow the freedom, prosperity, self-determination, and resilience of Aotearoa New Zealand by providing world class, locally owned, sovereign cloud services.
Catalyst Cloud is New Zealand's only locally owned and operated sovereign cloud provider. Built on open source technology, and as an approved cloud provider to the New Zealand Government, we offer fast, secure and reliable cloud infrastructure, built especially for the local market.
We believe New Zealand's data should stay in New Zealand hands. Every story we tell, every piece of content we publish, supports that mission.
We're looking for a Communications Advisor to help bring Catalyst Cloud's brand to life. This is a focused, high-impact part-time role for an experienced communications professional who can work independently and take real ownership of their outputs.
You'll work directly with our Chief Customer Officer to make sure everything we put into the world is accurate, on-brand, and effective.
If telling the stories behind New Zealand's sovereign digital future excites you, we'd love to hear from you.
Client Case Studies and Stories
You'll identify and develop client story opportunities, conduct interviews, and turn complex technical and business context into clear, compelling narratives. You'll manage the full production process, from brief through to approval and publication, and repurpose content across web, social, sales collateral, and presentations. You'll also maintain a case study library that our sales team can actually use.
Website Content
You'll own and maintain Catalyst Cloud's website copy, keeping it accurate, current, and aligned with our commercial priorities. You'll translate complex product and service information into plain language for both technical and non-technical audiences, apply SEO best practices, and conduct regular content audits to make sure our copy grows with our offering.
Marketing Collateral and Campaigns
You'll produce capability statements, one-pagers, email campaigns, social copy, and event collateral. You'll maintain a content calendar aligned to our campaigns and sales pipeline, and support trade events and conferences with timely, relevant content. Everything you publish will be proofread, approved, and on-brand.
You're an experienced communications professional with at least two years in a content, writing, or marketing role. You write exceptionally well across formats and audiences. You've produced case studies, client stories, or long-form B2B content before, and you know how to manage a website and apply SEO thinking without being told twice.
You work well independently, manage competing deadlines without drama, and care deeply about accuracy and brand consistency.
It's a bonus if you have a background in technology, Cloud, SaaS, or professional services, or if you're familiar with how New Zealand's public sector communicates. Experience working alongside brand and design teams, and working knowledge of CMS platforms and basic digital analytics, will also stand you in good stead.
You'll be part of a small, mission-driven team building something that genuinely matters for New Zealand. You'll have real ownership of your work, direct access to senior leadership, and the satisfaction of seeing your content support sales conversations and shape how New Zealand thinks about sovereign cloud.
We're ethically driven and thrive on collaboration. We value diverse skills, technological curiosity, and work-life balance. We offer a competitive salary, health insurance, and flexible working options, along with training and growth opportunities to help you reach your goals.
We're also committed to te ao Māori values and to upholding our responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
This is a part-time role based in Wellington, 20 hours per week, reporting to the Chief Customer Officer.
