 We are seeking a commercially astute finance professional to partner with our Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to drive profitable growth and high-quality decision making. We are a well-known NZ brand across multiple export markets, who care about producing award winning wines, sustainably.  

This is a vital leadership role responsible for delivering clear financial insight, leading core commercial finance processes, and ensuring strong visibility of performance drivers across the business.

About the Role 

As a key member of the commercial team, you will provide strategic financial partnering and lead all commercial finance activities including planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. You will be confident operating both at the big picture scope and in the details, across markets, customers, products and master data.  

You’ll play a critical role in shaping business strategy, enhancing profitability, and embedding a strong performance culture through data-driven insights. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Partner cross-functionally to drive profitable growth and support key business decisions  
  • Lead core commercial finance activities including product costing, reporting, margin analysis, budgeting and forecasting  
  • Provide insights on pricing, performance, and financial drivers  
  • Own month-end reporting, variance analysis, and performance tracking  
  • Deliver board-level reporting and clear, actionable insights  
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes  
  • Develop financial models and support strategic decision-making  
  • Improve processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency  
  • Build strong relationships and foster a high-performance culture 

About You 

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting; CA (or equivalent) preferred 
  • Proven experience in commercial finance and business partnering 
  • Strong background leading FP&A processes 
  • Experience within an export-driven manufacturing environment (preferred) 
  • Ability to operate effectively at a senior leadership level 
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience with ERP systems, FP&A reporting tools and advanced Excel.
