About the role
In this role you will spearhead the delivery of scalable and robust cloud solutions that empower Platform and Application teams in providing services for our internal personnel and clients.
Charged with overseeing the rollout of well-structured and well-regulated systems while identifying opportunities for enhancing cloud technology and processes, with a focus on minimising risks related to availability, latency, and efficiency while facilitating self-service options for users and driving cost-effective outcomes
Propel resilient and economical Cloud operations through the design and management of Cloud standards, frameworks, policies, and procedures. Aid in integrating operational quality into the cloud management process and promote the effective and uniform use of Cloud services.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Design, strategies’, and execute frameworks and policies for secure Cloud infrastructure services for TSB (Azure, AWS, VMware, etc.)
- Administer, sustain, and troubleshoot the Cloud infrastructure services for TSB
- Enhance the Cloud framework and policy operations and tools to maximis
ze efficiency and cost-effectiveness and eliminate waste. - Monitor Cloud utilisation, performance, and expenses, and engage in problem-solving and analysis to resolve issues and foster improvements within the Cloud services
- Collaborate with Cloud users to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and value, mitigate risks, and support consistent use of Cloud resources by the Platform teams
- Engage in Cloud governance forums to assist with the implementation of and compliance with TSB’s relevant Standards, and coordinate with Risk and Architectural teams to minimise risks through Governance-driven policies and frameworks
- Supervise the enterprise backup platform for availability, capacity, performance, and updates. Take part in daily BAU activities including Request Management, Incident Management, and Change Management to uphold the security, availability, reliability, scalability, stability, and integrity of the Cloud platforms
- Contribute to and maintain design and operational support documentation and resources, including frameworks, policies, support procedures, standards, and best practice guides for the consumption and management of Cloud services.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- 3-5 years or more experience in Cloud Engineering, operations or Cloud DevOps roles
- Experience including but not limited to administration of Azure & AWS –based solutions, Vmware, backup solutions and monitoring tools
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform, Bicep and tooling like Powershell and Azure Cli
- Demonstrable knowledge of Cloud & Cyber Security principles and management techniques
- Experience working in cross-functional application / solutions teams
