Are you passionate about using technology and data to improve healthcare? As our Clinical Systems & Data Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the digital systems that help deliver safe, high-quality patient care across Southern Cross Healthcare. Working at the intersection of clinical operations, technology, and data, you'll ensure our clinical governance, learning, credentialling, risk management, and quality systems are reliable, optimised, and continuously evolving to meet the needs of our clinicians and the organisation.
Partnering closely with clinical teams, Digital Services, and external vendors, you'll be the go-to expert for system administration, user support, and data integrity. From configuring and enhancing clinical applications to delivering training and driving user adoption, you'll help ensure our people have the tools, information, and confidence they need to deliver exceptional care. You'll also play a key role in managing our Learning Management System, supporting digital learning, clinical onboarding, and workforce capability across the organisation.
Beyond systems support, you'll transform data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making, strengthen clinical governance, and drive continuous improvement. You'll develop dashboards and reports, champion data quality, identify opportunities to improve workflows and processes, and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance both the user experience and patient outcomes. Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Proven experience administering complex enterprise or clinical software systems, ideally within a healthcare or other highly regulated environment.
- Strong data literacy with the ability to maintain high standards of data quality, integrity, and accuracy while turning information into meaningful insights.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and continuously improve systems and processes.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to explain technical concepts clearly, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and deliver engaging user training and support.
- A passion for delivering exceptional user experiences, driving system adoption, and promoting best-practice, culturally safe, and equitable data management.
- Experience supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital event management platforms, clinical governance, patient safety, or quality systems will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of patient safety, clinical governance, quality improvement, or healthcare service improvement, along with experience creating dashboards, reports, and actionable insights using Business Intelligence or reporting tools.
- Exposure to SQL, database structures, system configuration, or application administration would be advantageous.
- An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within healthcare data and digital practices.
- A tertiary qualification in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Health Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience), with additional training or certifications in data management, analytics, digital health, Business Intelligence, vendor platforms, or continuous improvement methodologies being highly desirable.
