Clinical Nurse Lead - Theatre Orthopaedics

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are seeking an Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Lead to join our Theatre team at our Hamilton Hospital. This position will suit an experienced team player who will inspire our team in their drive for excellence in quality surgical care. This is a 0.8 - 1 FTE role. 

Ideally you will be an Orthopaedic theatre nurse with good interpersonal skills, to maintain and create strong clinical relationships with our visiting surgeons and fellow healthcare professionals. 

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • A current NZ nursing practising certificate 
  • A Minimum Level 3 PDRP or equivalent 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ post-registration Operating Rooms scrub/circulate experience in Orthopaedics
  • Proven leadership experience in a nursing leadership role e.g., Shift Co-ordinator, Team Leader, roles that provide direction and delegation, people management etc
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive positive attitude
  • Actively promotes culturally safe clinical practice and the integration of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi into the provision of patient care
  • Post graduate qualifications in health care
