About the Role:
UCOL has been delivering nurse education programmes for over 30 years, and this is an exciting time to join our nurse education team. We are experiencing very high ākonga (student) demand and are currently developing a contemporary and innovative curriculum to meet the needs of Aotearoa New Zealand’s diverse health consumers. UCOL’s School of Nursing delivers quality programmes in a in a holistic, supportive environment based on Te Whare Tapa Whā. The Clinical Manager, alongside other Nursing Management roles, is responsible for ensuring UCOL’s Nursing education programmes comply with Nursing Council NZ Nursing Education Programme Standards. This role provides is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the education of the future nursing workforce, through working with key health stakeholders across the Manawatu, Whanganui, Horowhenua, and Wairarapa regions (and neighbouring regions as required) to source clinical placement opportunities and ensure quality experiences for our students.
This Clinical Manager role is full time and will be predominately based at our Manawatu Campus but will have oversight and responsibilities related to clinical placements for students studying across our three nursing delivery sights (Manawatu, Whanganui & Wairarapa).
The role provides high quality management and organisational planning and oversight of clinical teaching and learning in the Nursing clinical environment (including within the clinical placement, laboratory and simulation environments), in collaboration with our industry partners, to enable students to gain an understanding of, and ability to apply, their knowledge and skills to meet the clinical requirements of the curriculum and industry registration.
