Mō te tūranga - About the role:

Laundry:

  • Provide a high-quality laundry service that supports the comfort, dignity, and wellbeing of residents.
  • Process residents' personal clothing and household linen in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Assist residents to maintain their independence by encouraging participation in laundry-related tasks where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive home environment. 

Cleaning:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Deliver high-quality cleaning and hygiene services in accordance with cleaning schedules and organisational standards.
  • Follow infection control, health and safety, and cleaning procedures to ensure a safe care environment.
  • Respond to additional cleaning requests and support residents' wellbeing through a professional and respectful approach.
  • Work closely with colleagues to support Enliven's positive ageing philosophy and high-quality resident care.

Mō koe - About You

  • You have at least one year of experience in a commercial cleaning or laundry environment and take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and service. 
  • You are flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, morning, afternoons. 
  • You are confident using a range of technology platforms and systems, with the ability to learn new applications quickly and accurately.
  • You have a strong understanding of food hygiene and take pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • You are reliable, organised, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • You have a positive, friendly approach and enjoy building respectful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience working with older people would be an advantage, and you are committed to providing excellent service that supports resident wellbeing.
  • You are committed to learning and development and are willing to undertake relevant training and qualifications to support your success in the role. 
  • Currently based in Levin.
  • Hold the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
