Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne is looking for three reliable and motivated Cleaners to join our Facilities team and help keep our sanctuary and facilities clean, safe and welcoming for our visitors, staff and volunteers.

These are permanent part-time positions, each at 14 hours per week, with shifts rostered across the week, including weekends.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of facilities across Zealandia, including our Visitor Centre, other buildings and toilet facilities throughout the sanctuary.

During busy visitor periods, you’ll play an important part in making sure our spaces continue to look and feel great for everyone who comes through.

As part of our Facilities team, you’ll also keep an eye out for anything needing attention and help us maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across the site.

Mōu | About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • is reliable, honest and comfortable working independently
  • has a good eye for detail and takes pride in their work
  • has cleaning experience, preferably in a commercial environment
  • understands the safe use of cleaning products and equipment, or is willing to learn
  • has good communication skills
  • is physically able to carry out the requirements of the role, including standing, lifting and bending
  • takes health and safety seriously.

Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and a NZ cleaning qualification would be an advantage, but training can be provided to the right person.
