Class 5 Truck Drivers (fixed term)
Ever wanted to work at Napier Port? What about driving trucks? We operate lots of impressive equipment here at Napier Port, from small forklifts right up to the biggest trucks in town. We’re looking for casual truck drivers to join our team for the season, working together to keep the cargo flowing and Hawke’s Bay connected to the world.
Truck Drivers are responsible for transporting containers from the port to the off-site Depot at Thames Street, as well as onsite bulk cargo transfers.
Key priorities for the role include:
- Transporting containers to and from Napier Port/off site Depot at Thames Street
- Provide service delivery to customer and product care standards
- Safety – support a Just Safety Culture
About you:
- You will be skilled and experienced in operating truck and trailer units
- You will hold a Class 5 Driver License
- You will have excellent work ethic
- You will be a good communicator
- You will have the ability to follow instructions and processes within a timely and safe manner.
The port operates 24/7 so the successful candidates will need to be able to work a range of shifts across all hours.
