The Role
Your primary responsibility will be operating the Class 5 truck and trailer, transporting leachate from site each day.
Beyond your core duties, there’s plenty of opportunity to grow and diversify your skills, including learning to operate:
- Vacuum & hydro trucks
- Water delivery vehicles
Experience with live loads is an advantage but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely operate a Class 5 H truck and trailer
- Transport leachate and manage live loads
- Complete pre-starts, logbooks, and paperwork accurately
- Follow dispatch instructions and transport routes
- Support wider operations when needed
- Communicate clearly with customers and the team
- Maintain high safety standards in line with WasteCo and NZTA
What You’ll Bring
- Class 5 licence
- DG endorsement (or willingness to get it — we’ll support you)
- Experience with heavy vehicles (live loads a bonus)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, organised, and self-motivated
- A safety-first attitude and willingness to learn
