Are you enthusiastic about creating enriching learning environments that embrace ngā uara of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, and tūmanakotanga? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated kaiako to join our team at Toi Ohomai Childcare Centre, as we expand to accommodate growing enrolments.
Our team of kaiako is committed to fostering aroha, kindness, and meaningful connections that uphold the mana, wairua, and identity of our tamariki and their whānau. With generous teacher-to-child ratios, we provide ample opportunities to listen to and support the aspirations of whānau and tamariki. Our spacious natural outdoor environments encourage self-directed exploration and nurture a deep respect for Papatūānuku.
Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities
• Building and maintaining respectful, genuine, and inclusive relationships with tamariki and their whānau, recognising them as the heart of our learning community.
• Embedding the aspirations of Ngāti Ranginui within your teaching practice, ensuring a strong cultural identity for tamariki, whānau, and kaiako.
• Creating a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Working alongside colleagues to cultivate a space where tamariki feel valued, secure, and empowered.

You bring:
• Qualified with a recognised early childhood degree and hold current Teacher Registration.
• Thoughtful and intentional in their approach to teaching.
• Committed to integrating te ao Māori into everyday practice.
• Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
• Committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
• Holder of a current First Aid Certificate.
