Christchurch Casino is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our busy Kitchen team.   If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and have a flair for flavour, this is your chance to shine.  

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food, hardworking, and committed to excellence. You’ll bring a relevant cookery qualification and/or at least five years’ experience in a professional kitchen. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to perform well under pressure. You’ll also play a key role in coaching and developing junior chefs, with the expectation of stepping up when senior chefs are absent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Run your assigned kitchen section with efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu development and new recipes
  • Maintain strict food hygiene and health & safety standards in line with our Food & Safety Plan 
  • Monitor stock levels, portion control, and waste management

Flexibility is important, as you may be rostered to work across any of the Casino’s kitchens, offering exposure to different styles and service environments. 

This is a full‑time position (minimum 40 hours per week), with additional hours available depending on business demands. You must be reliable and available to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. Our opening hours are 12pm–1am Sunday to Thursday and 12pm–3am on Fridays and Saturdays.
