Chargehand - Dayshift
About the Role
· Supervise and train general floor staff to be great in their role.
· Train staff against SOP’s and sign off when competent at each level.
· Co-ordinate floor staff between areas and lanes.
· Liaise regularly with quality staff.
· Give regular feedback and guidance to Graders to maintain adherence to the quality standards
· Ensure record keeping is up to date and current.
· Ensure packaging traceability is maintained with quality systems.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in a packhouse or food manufacturing environment desirable
- Experience training and/or supervising others
- Accurate and efficient
- Be physically fit and healthy, able to work on your feet all day.
- Be reliable and conscientious.
- Able to follow and carry out documented work instructions.
- Reliable and can work unsupervised.
- Available to work up to six days per week, usually Monday to Saturday during the packing season.
- Prepared to work to meet production deadlines.
- Co-operative and works well in a team.
- You must be legally able to work in New Zealand and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
