Centre Manager (The Cat's Pjyama's Rolleston)
The Cat’s Pyjama's is looking for a passionate and dedicated Centre Manager to lead our energetic, experienced and close-knit team in Rolleston.

The Cat’s Pyjama's provides a bright, nurturing learning environment for children aged 0–5 years. Our purpose-built centre features three thoughtfully designed classrooms for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, each equipped to support the unique developmental needs of its age group.

About the role
Reporting to an Area Manager, you will provide high-impact leadership while overseeing the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre. You’ll champion exceptional learning outcomes, support and inspire your team, and foster positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.
You will be recognised as a confident communicator and an encouraging coach who can identify potential, simplify processes and help others achieve excellence.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 in ECE
- Current teacher certification
- A strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and learning
- Sound knowledge of current ECE regulations and Te Whāriki, with a strong focus on compliance
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through your teaching and leadership practices
- Proven ability to coach, motivate and develop others
- An innovative mindset and enthusiasm for improving how we work
- At least two years’ management experience
