Centre Manager (Beststart Te Atatu Pensinsula)
About the Role
We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager to step into a larger leadership role at BestStart Te Atatu Peninsula. As a change maker, you’ll lead a 100-licence centre in the heart of the Te Atatu Peninsula community.
With a strong track record of occupancy and financial performance, this centre is ready for a leader who can drive positive improvements across all rooms. Working alongside a motivated long standing team, you’ll strengthen teaching practice, build capability and create great outcomes for children, whānau and the wider centre community.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a confident and people-focused leader who is passionate about quality outcomes and developing others.
- BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
- Strong understanding of child-led learning, pedagogy and curriculum
- Sound knowledge of current ECE Regulations and Te Whāriki, with a strong focus on compliance
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through your pedagogical practice
- A natural coach who can recognise and unlock the potential of others
- A proactive and innovative approach, with a willingness to simplify and improve the way we work
- A collaborative leadership style and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children
