We are looking for a Centre Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager to be part of something unique from the very beginning. You will play a key role in setting up the learning environment, shaping team values and philosophy, and promoting the centre within the community. 

The ideal candidate will be a qualified ECE teacher with proven leadership experience, a positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to mentor and support the team. Strong skills in curriculum development, compliance, proven leadership skills and financial management are essential, along with a passion for maintaining high standards of care and education. 

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

At BestStart, we are leaders in the early childhood sector, passionate about making a difference, and we love what we do. We deliver high-quality early education and award-winning childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

As we begin the recruitment process, we are inviting expressions of interest to join our dynamic start-up team at BestStart Park Green. Our beautiful, purpose-built centre will be licensed for 100 tamariki and will feature four thoughtfully designed classrooms, including a dedicated space for tamariki under 2 years old. 

We aim to open in February 2025.Located in the sought-after Rosehill, Karaka area, BestStart Park Green is situated in a rapidly growing community known for its scenic countryside, vibrant lifestyle, and family-friendly atmosphere. Role requirements:  

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:  

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current Teacher Certification  
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices  
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
