About the Role:

Join our vibrant team at BestStart Orewa West, a new and rapidly growing centre nestled in the heart of Orewa, conveniently located near the local primary school. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing a brand-new BestStart Centre, becoming an integral part of the local community. 

We're seeking a dynamic Centre Manager with 2-3 years of proven experience, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, a talent for cultivating team culture, and a knack for establishing effective rituals and routines. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on compliance, ensuring that our center operates smoothly and meets all regulatory standards. 

As a high-impact leader, reporting to an Area Manager, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you'll take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre! Being a great communicator and building fantastic relationships will be in your DNA.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday

Role requirements:

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others, you will have previous leadership experience
  • You are an innovator, both in input and output – being part of simplifying the way we do things excites you!
