About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Centre Manager to lead our small, close-knit early childhood centre. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, ensuring a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for tamariki, while fostering strong relationships with whānau, staff, and the wider community. You’ll lead a dedicated teaching team, support professional growth, and ensure compliance with ECE regulations and curriculum standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative, community-focused setting.

At BestStart Mt Eden, the potential is enormous. Our unique setting offers scope to develop sustainable practices, including expansive market gardens within our beautiful, meadow-like outdoor space. With Eden Park right across the road, our centre also enjoys a strong connection to the local community, offering endless opportunities for fun and learning adventures for both children and teachers.

This role is perfect for someone who is dedicated to building strong teams, leading with heart, and creating a thriving environment where tamariki and kaiako flourish. If you’re a visionary leader ready to make a genuine impact in early childhood education, this is your chance to step into a truly rewarding journey with us.

This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday).
