About the Role:  

As a high-impact leader, reporting to an Area Manager, you will be passionate about delivering amazing learning outcomes for our children and you'll take pride in the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre! Being a great communicator and building fantastic relationships will be in your DNA.   We are looking for an exceptional Centre Manager who is fun and vibrant. You will be joining a long standing and established team.  

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday  

BestStart Burnside is licenced of 85 tamariki and is split into 3 classrooms that are well resourced for each age and stage. We have a newly renovated, large outdoor area that is inviting and stimulating for our tamariki to explore. 

Role requirements:  

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:  

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current Teacher Certification  
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum  
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard  
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices  
  • You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others  
  • You are an innovator, both in input and output – being part of simplifying the way we do things excites you!
