BestStart Paerata Rise is looking for a dedicated and caring Cook to join our friendly, energetic team!
About Us:
At BestStart Paerata Rise, we are a purpose-built centre located in a growing, family-focused subdivision. Just a short walk from the local school, café, and parks, our centre is a warm, welcoming space where tamariki are supported to flourish and become confident young members of the community.
This is a permanent part-time role working 32.5 hours per week.
About the Role:
As our centre Cook, you’ll play a vital part in the daily life of our centre by preparing fresh, wholesome meals that fuel children’s growth and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and preparing nutritious, varied menus
- Catering to a range of dietary requirements and allergies
- Managing food orders and stock within budget
- Upholding top hygiene and food safety standards
- Supporting the overall wellbeing of the children through healthy eating
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for healthy cooking and baking
- Understanding of food safety, allergies, and nutritional needs
- Basic computer skills for menu planning and ordering
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a love of working around children
