We’re looking for a reliable, organised and confident Centre Cook to provide fresh, nutritious and delicious meals for our tamariki each day.
About the Role
This is a permanent part time position working 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Planning and preparing nutritious, culturally varied meals and snacks.
- Catering for allergies, dietary requirements and individual needs.
- Managing food ordering, stock and budgets.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Completing required food safety and kitchen documentation.
- Managing your time effectively to meet daily meal service deadlines.
- Promoting healthy eating and building positive relationships with tamariki and whānau.
About You
You’ll bring:
- Proven cooking experience and a passion for cooking and baking.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and dietary requirements.
- Experience with ordering and stock control.
- Confidence using computers for menus, ordering and administration.
- A reliable, positive and adaptable approach.
