We’re excited to open the doors of BestStart West Village, our brand-new purpose-built centre in Rolleston, in mid-August 2025. The centre will cater for children aged 3 months to 5 years, with thoughtfully designed spaces and resources tailored to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We’re on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Centre Administrator to join our foundation team and help shape the systems and culture from day one.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role that supports the day-to-day running of the centre and enables our teaching team to focus on delivering exceptional education and care. As the Centre Administrator, you’ll be the first point of contact for our families, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to whānau and visitors
  • Managing enrolments and parent queries
  • Maintaining accurate parent accounts, invoicing, and payments
  • Coordinating bookings and waitlists
  • Meeting key Ministry of Education administration requirements
  • Supporting centre operations through general administrative tasks
  • Occasionally supporting tamariki in the learning environment

You’ll be working in a modern, spacious setting with the support of a national admin helpdesk and robust systems and processes. Training and onboarding will be provided to set you up for success.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous administration experience, preferably in a customer-focused environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident, professional manner and a compassionate approach with whānau
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a commitment to supporting quality early childhood education
