At BestStart Marne Street, we lead with a kind heart and curious mind! Our centre is based in the heart of the Palmerston North riverside suburb of Hokowhitu, close to the town centre. We are in walking distance to popular landmarks like The Esplanade and Manawatu River walkway and are just around the corner from the beautiful Hokowhitu Lagoon.

We are currently seeking a permanent part-time Administrator to join our team, working 25 hours per week.

About the Role:

As the friendly face of our centre, you will play a key role in supporting our tamariki, whānau, and teaching team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for whānau and visitors
  • Supporting enrolments and managing enquiries
  • Managing accounts, invoicing, and data entry
  • General administration and record keeping
  • Providing occasional support in classrooms as needed

  • Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using Word, Excel, Outlook, and other IT systems
  • Comfortable working with accounts and problem-solving
