BestStart Aidanfield is looking for a warm, organised, and enthusiastic Centre Administrator to join our supportive and close-knit team. We are passionate about providing high-quality care and education for the tamariki in our community and are looking for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues alike.

At BestStart Aidanfield, we're a small centre with three classrooms that work closely together to create a welcoming, family-focused environment. We have a wonderful on-site cook who prepares nutritious meals each day, beautiful views overlooking the neighbouring park, and strong connections with our local community. About the Role

We're seeking an organised, friendly, and proactive Centre Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our centre. This role plays an important part in ensuring our centre runs smoothly, allowing our teaching team to focus on providing exceptional care and education while maintaining compliance with Ministry of Education requirements.

No two days are the same. You'll be the welcoming face of our centre, providing excellent customer service to our whānau while managing a variety of administrative tasks including:

  • Managing enrolments and bookings 
  • Responding to parent enquiries 
  • Maintaining accurate parent accounts, direct debits, and payments 
  • Data entry and record management 
  • Meeting daily, weekly, and termly administrative deadlines 
  • Providing occasional support in the classrooms with our tamariki 

You'll receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from our National Admin Support Team, with established systems and processes to help you succeed.

This is a permanent position working 20–25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

  • Friendly, approachable, and passionate about supporting children and whānau 
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail 
  • A confident communicator and team player 
  • Experienced with general accounts processes and customer account enquiries 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • A quick learner who enjoys a varied role 
  • Committed to providing outstanding customer service and willing to go the extra mile
