About the Role
BestStart Papakura East Kindy is seeking an exceptional, well-organised, and approachable Centre Administrator to join our warm and welcoming team. This role is vital to the smooth running of our centre, supporting our teachers and leadership team so we can continue delivering high-quality care and education for our tamariki, while meeting Ministry of Education requirements.
As our Centre Administrator, you will be the friendly and professional first point of contact for our whānau and visitors. No two days are the same, and you’ll enjoy a varied role that combines customer service, administration, and accounts support.
Your responsibilities will include managing enrolments and bookings, data entry, responding to parent enquiries, maintaining accurate parent accounts, processing payments and direct debits, and meeting daily, weekly, and term-based deadlines. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence using IT systems—particularly Word and Excel—will be key to your success. There may also be opportunities to interact with our tamariki from time to time.
You’ll be well supported in your role, with access to BestStart’s National Admin Support Team and Helpdesk, along with clear procedures, training, and a comprehensive induction programme to ensure you feel confident and supported in meeting Ministry of Education requirements.
This is a permanent part-time role, working 12 hours per week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
