About the Role
As Cellar Manager, you’ll support the Chief Winemaker in overseeing all day-to-day cellar activities, ensuring a seamless flow from fruit to bottle. You’ll lead, train, and motivate a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement, and champion a safe, positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all cellar operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Lead, train, and motivate cellar staff, including recruitment and induction of vintage staff.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, health & safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with the winemaking and engineering teams to maintain equipment and improve processes.
- Maintain high standards of winery cleanliness and hygiene.
- Foster a high-performing, engaged team culture.
- Oversee inventory, dry goods, and resource planning.
- Support ongoing development of winery processes and participate in audits.
About You
- At least 5 years’ winery experience, including previous supervisory roles.
- Fully competent in all winery operations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
- Commitment to health, safety, and sustainability.
- Wine-related or production qualifications are an advantage.
