This role will have you involved in all cellar operations from grape processing through to final preparation of wine for packaging. The location of this role is at Yealands' Seddon based Winery in Marlborough, New Zealand.

This role is permanent full-time with a minimum guaranteed hours of work for this role are 40-45 per week, typical hours are Monday-Sunday, 7am-3.30pm. This is for one vacant role. 

As a Cellar Hand, you can expect to be involved in:

  • General winery processes from vintage through to bottling preparation.
  • Fruit receival, batch and continuous floatation, and yeast propagation processes.
  • Large production to crafting small batch wines in our colourful concrete eggs.
  • Additions to wine and juice.
  • Centrifuge, crossflow, high solid crossflows, and barrels operations. 
  • As well as general winery operations and upkeep.

Are you the right person for us? If you are, you’ll have:

  • Winery or production experience is preferred but not essential - training available.
  • Drivers Licence required; forklift and first aid is a plus.
  • Passion for wine,  sustainability  and being part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn, safety-focus, and adaptable style.
  • Flexibility for extended hours during vintage.
