Casual Weighbridge Operators

Port Taranaki has an opportunity for customer focused Casual Weighbridge Operators

The Port Taranaki Weighbridge provides an essential 24-hour, 7-day week service to many Port users.  We are looking for individuals to take on the role of casual Weighbridge Operators.  The duties of the role include providing customer service, completing data entry and monitoring the weighbridge equipment and operations while vessels and trucks are unloading and loading goods.  At times the Weighbridge can be very busy, so the ability to juggle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure is essential.

Successful applicants will also be able to demonstrate the following attributes: 

• Strong attention to detail
• Effective communication with a range of individuals
• Customer service skills
• Able to work unsupervised and alone, especially at night
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test as part of their employment
• Have reliable transport to get to and from work

Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and hold a valid New Zealand Driver’s License.
