About Raukawa Charitable Trust
The Raukawa Charitable Trust (RCT) has provided quality iwi-led services to the South Waikato community since 1987. We deliver a wide range of initiatives across health, social services, treaty, cultural, and environmental sectors, underpinned by our values of Tika, Pono, and Aroha.
The Opportunity
We are seeking friendly, reliable, and professional Casual Receptionist / Office Support kaimahi to provide on-call cover at our Tokoroa tari. This role ensures continuity of service when our front-desk team is away or during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
In this casual role, you may be asked to support tasks such as:
Reception & Customer Service
- Welcoming manuhiri and providing a warm, professional first point of contact
- Answering phone calls, responding to queries, taking messages
- Supporting mail, couriers, and general front-desk tasks
- Maintaining a tidy reception and foyer area
Office & Administration Support
- Assisting with room bookings, hui set-ups, printing, photocopying
- Supporting basic administrative tasks such as filing and document preparation
- Helping maintain office supplies and reporting equipment issues
Vehicle Grooming (as needed)
- Basic cleaning of fleet vehicles (vacuuming, wiping, washing)
- Reporting any damage or issues
- Maintaining tidy parking layout and safe use of products
Team & Organisational Support
- Upholding RCT values and excellent customer service
- Supporting other kaimahi when required
- Adhering to RCT Health & Safety procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong reliability and the ability to work on short notice
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail, good self-management, and the ability to work independently
- Comfort performing light physical tasks (e.g. bending, wiping, light lifting)
- A willingness to work in a kaupapa Māori environment
- A Full Class 1 driver’s licence
Experience in reception, office support, customer service, or vehicle grooming would be an advantage.
