Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is a whānau-focused, Iwi mandated, kaupapa Māori health and social services organisation. We have been supporting our whānau me hapori to achieve their aspirations and general wellbeing for almost 40 years.  Underpinning our success as an organisation are our values Kotahitanga, Whakamana, Kaitiakitanga and Whanaungataunga, which are woven through everything we do. 

What you’ll do

  • Provide supervision and support to whaiora in our newly created 6 bed Crisis Respite Hub 
  • Support whaiora with therapeutic engagement and daily living
  • Monitor well-being and maintain a warm, whānau focused recovery environment

This is a 24/7 essential service with rostered hours. These positions are casual to provide backfill when kaimahi are on leave

Candidates will need:

  • Level 4 Mental Health Certificate or similar 
  • Experience working with whaiora experiencing mental health issues
  • Be empathetic, self-aware and have the ability to build a good rapport 
  • Team player within a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to excellence and professional development
  • A Full Driver’s License
