Auckland City Mission receives a large quantity of donated goods, from food and clothing to beds and household items. Every year, the Mission re-distributes these items to thousands of Aucklanders. Donations that are excess to requirements may be sold through the Mission's second-hand shops, providing good quality, low-cost, second-hand clothing and goods to other families and individuals. All profits from these shops are returned directly to help fund the Mission's social services.
We are looking for Drivers/Distribution Assistants to join our team located in Grafton. Your role as a Driver & Warehouse assist will see you uplifting and delivering large & small goods including donations for our Christmas program as well as commercial palletized foods and other goods. The occasional warehouse assistance may be required.
Our ideal candidate
You are reliable team player with a can do attitude willing to go the extra mile and someone that doesn't mind mucking in to get the job done. You are an effective communicator with a friendly personality able to relate to people from all walks of life. You can work equally well independently or as part of a team. Your flexible mind and ability to perform and remain calm under pressure busy periods will stand you in good stead. These roles involve heavy lifting and medium physical work, so you will need to be reasonably fit and able.

There are 6 roles available on a casual or fixed term basis - working hours and days will either be Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 3.30pm
