Port Taranaki has opportunities for customer focused Casual Communications and Security Officers.
The Communication and Security team provide a 24-hour, 7-day Port customer and security service. This includes providing efficient communication services to customers, clients, staff and the general public.
The role involves a variety of roving patrol and gate house duties, mainly on weekends and overnight, on an as as-required basis. You will act as the company’s first point of contact with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Prior knowledge or experience in security requirements within a Port Facility and familiarity with the use of communications and security technologies (e.g. cardax, CCTV, operational radio) would be advantageous.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and hold a full New Zealand Driver’s License.
