The Enliven Bureau team provide support to our residential homes at times when they need additional cover for leave, absences, special events or unexpected or high volume of workloads. They are an essential part of the wider Enliven team and ensure that our Homes can run seamlessly at all times and offer continuity of care and support to our Elders. Our Wellington Homes are in Karori, Tawa, Johnsonville and Lower Hutt.

Mō te tūranga - About the role
We are looking for are looking for Cleaners & Laundry Workers to work casually in our Bureau team across our Wellington Region Homes.
As a Casual Cleaner you will,
- Keep our home spotless – deliver top-quality cleaning
- Work independently & as part of a supportive team
- Follow clear routines and infection-control protocols for resident safety
- Make a real difference in a vibrant, community-focused home
As a Laundry Worker you will,
- Have previous experience in laundry practices in a residential, hospital or hospitality setting
- Knowledge and experience in commercial laundry processes, but we can help you learn about this
- Take instruction and delegation from the Senior Housekeeper regarding priorities and routines
- You will be operating a variety of commercial laundry machines and equipment whilst undertaking a range of laundry procedures such as washing, drying, ironing, folding and delivering residents clothing.
Mō koe - About you
Alongside a genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic, patient, and well organised, with strong interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect, and take pride in contributing to a warm and welcoming environment for our residents.
Previous experience in a rest home, hospital, or hospitality environment is an advantage, but not essential. We are happy to support the right person to learn the skills needed for the role.
- You will have prior experience in cleaning or laundry work in a commercial setting
- You will have passion for elder wellbeing and a caring, person-centered approach
- Great communication skills with empathy, compassion and respect
- High standards of hygiene and knowledge of cleaning and infection control
- Team player who values contributing to residents' positive experience
- You will already hold the legal right to live and work in New Zealand
