Are you passionate about coffee, friendly faces, and a fun work environment? The Melting Pot Café, located at the heart of Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga's Mokoia campus in Rotorua, is seeking a casual Café Assistant/Barista to join our dynamic team. Be part of a welcoming and inclusive café that fosters a strong sense of belonging for staff and students. Competitive pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour (depending on experience). The Café Assistant reports to the Café Service Manager and will be responsible for: 

  • Crafting delicious coffee beverages to a high standard.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service with a smile – you'll be the friendly face that brightens our customers' day!
  • Efficiently handling food and drink orders.
  • Assisting in prepping the café, food cabinets, and counters before, during, and after service.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment.
  • Handling cash transactions and operating point of sale and till.
