Caregiving roles available in Karori, day shifts!
Miranda Smith Homecare is looking for experienced, compassionate and loyal caregivers to join our fast growing team, providing care in your local community.
Are you looking for part-time, local, casual work? We have day shifts available in Karori and surrounding suburbs for experienced carers wanting part-time, flexible hours. We have shifts between 8.30am - 10.30am and 5.00pm-7.00pm pm week days in Karori at the moment. Each shift is a minimum of 2 hours and we are ideally looking for carers who live in Karori or surrounding areas for easy transportation. Our focus is on building strong relationships with our clients and supporting them to remain living in their own homes. This is a rewarding and fulfilling role, where you will be providing companionship, home help and some meal preparation. We offer 24/7 support to all of clients and carers and have a fantastic and highly experienced coordination team, including an RN to offer advice and guidance as required.
We would love to hear from you if you have had experience with any of the following:
- Companionship eg: taking our clients to outings and/or appointments
- Home help which may involve basic housework and meal preparation
- Personal cares assistance – showering, dressing and grooming
- Dementia and/or cognitive decline.
Ideal Candidate must have:
- A clean full NZ Driver’s License and your own car
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work legally in New Zealand
- A clear background and criminal check
