This is a permanent fulltime position working 40 hours per week in our over 2's room.

About the Role
As a Caregiver at BestStart, you’ll play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where tamariki can explore, grow, and shine. You’ll work closely with a passionate team of Teachers, supporting high-quality care and education across the centre. No two days are the same — but every day makes a difference.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing exceptional care and education for our tamariki
- Championing teamwork and supporting learning through play and exploration
- Engaging in centre activities across all classrooms
- Assisting with daily routines and staff support where needed
What You'll Bring:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Naturally warm, caring, and attuned to the needs of young children (especially infants and toddlers)
- Experienced in working with children under five
- A great communicator and team player
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to take direction
An ECE qualification is not required for this role — just your passion, energy, and commitment to supporting our tamariki.
