BestStart Powells Road Kindy – Home of the Brave is looking for a dedicated Caregiver to join our welcoming team. Working 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, Monday to Friday), this role offers the opportunity for additional hours and is ideal for experienced caregivers, career changers, or Year 1-2 TiNTs looking to build their skills in a supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Caregiver, you'll work across our 2-5 year old age group, supporting our teaching team to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment for tamariki.

You'll:

  • Build meaningful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues
  • Support learning through play and everyday routines
  • Participate fully in centre activities and daily operations
  • Bring positivity, initiative and a willingness to learn
  • Contribute to a culture where everyone feels valued and supported

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children under five
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Interest in te ao Māori would be an advantage
