Caregiver (BestStart Ponsonby)
About the Role:
We're looking for a caregiver to join our team at BestStart Ponsonby Preschool! Our center is a warm, homely environment that provides a nurturing, home-away-from-home atmosphere for both children and teachers.
Our well-resourced preschool space is supported by two experienced and caring teachers who will ensure you feel welcomed and part of the BestStart Ponsonby family. We also have large, natural outdoor spaces that invite children to explore, be curious, and connect with nature.

Reporting to our Centre Manager and working within a close-knit team you will be joining a dedicated team of Teachers who provide quality care and education to our tamariki.
Here’s what you’ll do on a day-to day basis:
· Provide amazing care and education to our tamariki
· Champion the team spirit and engage in activities that empower and extend tamariki’s learning
· Fully participate in centre activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks where necessary
· Support centre operations at all levels
This is a Fixed term position working 25 hours per week Monday-Friday 9-2.30 from 30/9/24 to 27/6/25
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. An ECE qualification is not required for this role, but a natural affinity with children – especially infants and toddlers, and experience working with children under five is a must. You’ll also have a high level of initiative and an ability to take direction from others.
