At BestStart Parau Drive, we are dedicated to nurturing and stimulating young minds, helping each child become the best version of themselves. Conveniently located in the heart of Bethlehem, on the corner of Parau Drive near the Bethlehem shopping centre, our newly opened centre provides a welcoming and accessible environment for families.
This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week.

About the Role:
As a caregiver at BestStart, you will have the incredible opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children, providing them with a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We believe in fostering a love for learning, creativity, and exploration in our tamariki.

Reporting to our Centre Manager and working within a close-knit team you will be joining a dedicated team of Teachers who provide quality care and education to our tamariki.
Here’s what you’ll do on a day-to day basis:
- Provide amazing care and education to our tamariki
- Champion the team spirit and engage in activities that empower and extend tamariki’s learning
- Fully participate in centre activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks where necessary
- Support centre operations at all levels
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. An ECE qualification is not required for this role, but a natural affinity with children – especially infants and toddlers, and experience working with children under five is a must. You’ll also have a high level of initiative and an ability to take direction from others.
