Caregiver (BestStart Kotata)
About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated caregiver to join our new centre, BestStart Kotata.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to use initiative, and not afraid to ask loads of questions. The ability to handle and respond to situations professionally are essential. Additionally, you should be comfortable seeking help when necessary to ensure the best care for our children. If you are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a dynamic team, we would love to hear from you!
Here’s what you’ll do on a day-to day basis:
- Provide amazing care and education to our tamariki
- Champion the team spirit and engage in activities that empower and extend tamariki’s learning
- Fully participate in centre activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks where necessary
- Support centre operations at all levels
This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week Monday-Friday

Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. An ECE qualification is not required for this role, but a natural affinity with children – especially infants and toddlers, and experience working with children under five is a must. You’ll also have a high level of initiative and an ability to take direction from others.
