As a Caregiver, you will use your skills to:
- Work together in a team to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for our residents.
- Follow individual resident care plans.
- Form lasting relationships with residents and their whanāu | family.
- Adapt and support your wider team members to create a great team environment.
Skills & Experience / He pūkenga tou
- A great team spirit with empathy and drive to make a difference in the lives of others.
- Good communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with residents, their families and your team members.
- Be familiar with computers and have the ability to learn new systems.
- Minimum of 3 years' caregiving experience or a relevant NZQA level 4 qualification and Dementia care experience.
- Health & Wellbeing or overseas nursing qualifications would be beneficial but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
